What could be better than a super soft hot water bottle and the relaxing scent of Chilcott lavender? We have designed a beautiful, super soft alpaca hot water bottle lined with the softest British wool from Romney sheep that is spun and woven exclusively for us.
The ultimate in luxury just gets better and better as we then pop in one of our lavender bags filled with our very own Chilcott lavender which is grown and harvested by hand on our farm in Wales . You can enjoy the very special distinctive fresh perfume of the lavender which is released as the hot water bottle warms you.
Our hot water bottles are made by hand in our workshop in the Brecon Beacons by Sarah. Each one is carefully designed, you can choose from a palate of beautiful colours so that you can enjoy the very special combination of the softest alpaca and lavender.
The perfect gift for Christmas, available in two sizes, small or large.
At Chilcott we are preparing for a busy season of shows . This year we are delighted to have been invited to some new venues in some very special places. We move from Samaritan’s Christmas Fair in the cathedral city of Hereford to the spectacular setting of Powderham Castle near Exeter. A lovely day out in such a good cause. Back to Hatherop Castle and Salisbury Cathedral before we return to Chelsea Physic Garden – a busy Christmas show in the heart of London which you can combine with a visit to this hidden gem of a garden. We briefly return to home soil at the Royal Welsh Winter Fair and pack up again heading to Clementine’s beautiful home in Tisbury followed by Montpellier Terrace Christmas Market in Cheltenham, a new venue and then our home turf of Crickhowell. Off to London again for the evening and then we are so delighted to be attending the Christmas Fair at Highclere Castle, a perfect Christmas venue filled with carols and mince pies and finally a weekend at the Oxford Botanic Gardens. We feel very lucky to be attending such lovely events and look forward to showing you our new products and colours. Do come and see us. Map and further details are shown in the ‘upcoming shows’ tab on this website.
Yes, lavender grows well here in Wales. It has a fresh, invigorating and distinctive scent. In July as the plants reach their peak we harvest the lavender by hand, dry it in the barn and store it carefully in wooden boxes to preserve its special fragrance. We use our exclusive Chilcott Harris Tweed to make our lavender bags. These tweeds are designed and woven on the Isles of Harris and Lewis by Annie and Becca, especially for Chilcott. Each bag is handmade in our studio by Sarah, carefully cut to size, labelled, filled with dried lavender and hand finished. These lavender bags make excellent gifts and are available singly, in boxes of 3 or 6 in a wide variety to tweeds.
