Yes, lavender grows well here in Wales. It has a fresh, invigorating and distinctive scent. In July as the plants reach their peak we harvest the lavender by hand, dry it in the barn and store it carefully in wooden boxes to preserve its special fragrance. We use our exclusive Chilcott Harris Tweed to make our lavender bags. These tweeds are designed and woven on the Isles of Harris and Lewis by Annie and Becca, especially for Chilcott. Each bag is handmade in our studio by Sarah, carefully cut to size, labelled, filled with dried lavender and hand finished. These lavender bags make excellent gifts and are available singly, in boxes of 3 or 6 in a wide variety to tweeds.
